There are just some songs that automatically pop into your head when it comes to weddings. You may be thinking of KC and Jojo’s “All my Life” or Nsync’s “This I Promise You” but I say, when you’ve heard the song over and over again, there is a great tendency that people just won’t listen anymore and the meaning may just fade away.
Personally, I would advice staying away from overused songs. There’s a huge selection when it comes to R&B music, so think carefully and make a wise choice.

Of course, choosing classics does not always mean they are overused though. There are still good songs from the past that are indeed good love songs and are suitable for weddings. Also, for first dance wedding songs R&B can be an option if you are looking for something popular.
Al Jarreau’s “We’re In This Love Together” nearly made it into our top 10, other close contenders were Vanessa Williams “Save the best for last“, Brian McNight’s “Back at One” and “You Mean the World to Me” by Toni Braxton.
